Commitment

The best way to achieve your goals is to commit to it 100%. Commitment is the determination to see things through no matter what.

What are you searching for, what do you want from life?

You have to commit to getting it otherwise it will remain a pipe dream.

Commitment is as force that can never be broken if managed correctly.

How do you manage your commiment?

1, Never over commit

2, Review what you want to commit to

3 Ask yourself why you want to commit(What’s your motive)

4, Be realistic.

Majority of peole fail to reach their goals because they do not take time out to review the above.

When you over commit you will eventually burn out and quit

If you don’t review what you are about to commit to, you might just end up committing to something, or a purpose not worth committing to. Sometimes it’s easy to commit to something, but later on you might discover that you don’t actually want to commit to that particular job, charity, social group or goal anymore for various reasons.

Reviewing what you want to commit to gives you clarity, understanding and a sense of purpose.

To achieve your goals, it’s very important to add commitment has part of your goals tool, otherwise when things get difficult, when challenges come you might just give in.

When you review what you are about to commit to, or what you’ve commited to. It gives you strength to keep going, to overcome those obstacles, to step into unknown territories, to conquer, to win.

It’s being said that without a vision people perish.

Asking your self why you want to commit helps to identify if what you are about to commit to is worth it. For example marriage.

You can ask the question?

Is he/she worth it, why do i want to marry this person, what do i love about this person, why was i attracted to him/her etc.

The answers your subconcious mind delivers to you will confirm if you should commit or not

Be Realistic:

It’s being said that false expectation is the biggest killers of dreams. Everybody has a dream, but not everyone has a realsitic dream.

What’s a realsitic dream:

A realistic dream is a dream that has a solid plan and a practical step on how to achieve it.

It’s great to think big, think outside the box, visualise that which you want, but please be realistic.

You can expect to turn into a professional golf player in one month if you’ve never played golf.

You can’t expect to pass your driving test in 1 week if you’ve never driven before or had lessons

Are the above dreams possible:

Yes they are possible. It’s possible to start as an amatuer golf palyer and turn into professional.

It’s possible to have never driven a car or had lesson and pass your test eventually.

The problem with the above dreams is not a question as to whether they are possible because they are. The issue has to do with the time frame.

To achieve your goal you’ve got to break them down to small sizes, into day to day steps.

So if you’ve never driven a car before, a day to day step will look like this:

1 Hire a driving instructor today
2 Start my first driving lessons tomorrow etc

“A journey of a thousand miles begins with one simple step” Chineses proverb

Keep Going

Success has a price. Determine to pay the price in advance and reap the rewards for a life time.

You will get kicked, spoken bad about, ignored and sometimes disliked for being a success.

Solution:

Smile a little bit more, laugh a little bit harder, work a little bit harder, and shine a whole lot more.

People’s opinion

Opinions are one of the cheapest commodities that we have because everybody has one and it’s free.

Look around you.You will notice that you are surrounded by people with diffErent opinions, on how things should be done, how you should live your life etc.

Are opinions bad?No

Should we listen to anybody?No

We have to be careful whose opinions we listen to because when you buy somneone’s opinions, you have to be prepared to buy their life style.

It goes back to that old saying;

If you can’t do the time, don’t do the crime.

Ask yourself whose opinions am i listening to. Who is influencing my life?

List five things you admire about the person you are listening to.

If you are able to write down five qualities that’s great, but if you have 2 qualities or less listed, then am afraid you need to re-evaluate why you listening to them.

Opinions have the power to influence us for good or for bad.

Open your ear’s to the right voices and close your ears to the negative voices.

If a voice or opinion is empowering in a positive way, keep listening. If a voice or an opinion is disempowering, then it’s time to tune out completely.

If you can look up, you can get up

I had a great time at westminster hall yesterday watching Les brown give his power talk on,
How to Recession proof your business.

The seminar reminded me of the beauty of networking with like minded people. The beauty of working with like minded people is that you are constantly being provided with an opportunity to expand your content and context.

I want to encourage you to do the same.

In the inspiration words of Lea brown,
